AWARE, Inc. receives a grant from the Kellogg Foundation Youth Advisory Committee Endowment Fund, Healthy Youth/Healthy Seniors Endowment Fund and Community Needs Endowment Fund at the Jackson Community Foundation to support programs for children and youth living with domestic violence.
AWARE, Inc. recently received a $14,666 grant from the Kellogg Foundation Youth Advisory Committee Endowment Fund, Healthy Youth/Healthy Seniors Endowment Fund and Community Needs Endowment Fund at the Jackson Community Foundation. The grant will help further AWARE’s crisis and supportive services in Jackson County.
“We are so excited to put these funds towards rebuilding The Kids Club program, and to raising awareness of dating violence and consent to area youth. The Kids Club program, developed by UM Professor Sandra Graham Bermann, provides children with the tools to cope with untenable situations. We have seen great success with this program in previous years,” says executive director Gunn.
